Candy AI and OurDream AI are two of the biggest AI girlfriend sites right now. Both offer unlimited chat on paid plans. Both charge extra for images, voice and video through an in-app currency. And both get the same complaint: the real monthly cost is hard to predict.

They are not the same product, though. Candy is the older, more polished name with the strongest image consistency. OurDream is the fast-growing newcomer with more character types and a bigger coin allowance on paid plans.

OurDream AI pricing

OurDream sells two main paid tiers:

• Premium: $19.99 per month billed monthly, with 1,000 DreamCoins a month
• Deluxe: $59.99 per month billed monthly, with 5,000 DreamCoins a month
• Annual billing: roughly half the monthly rate, from about $9.99 per month, billed once a year, often with bonus coins

Tokens vs DreamCoins

This is where the real cost lives.

Candy AI tokens. Premium includes 100 tokens a month. Images, voice replies, calls and video all draw from that one pool. Video costs the most. When you run out, reported top-ups are about $10 for 100 tokens and $49.99 for 500.

OurDream DreamCoins. Premium includes 1,000 DreamCoins a month. Third-party guides estimate about 5 coins per image, about 50 per voice minute and about 100 per video clip. That works out to roughly 200 images, or 20 voice minutes, or 10 short videos a month, in any mix. You can buy more coins at checkout.

The numbers aren't directly comparable. What matters is the pattern:

• Mostly text: Both are fine. Candy's annual plan is cheaper.
• A few images a week: Both plans usually cover it. OurDream's larger allowance gives more room.
• Heavy images, voice and video: Both will push you into top-ups. Budget well above the plan price on either site.

Images

Candy AI's biggest strength is consistency. A character keeps the same face, body and style across images. Many sites struggle with this, and it's the main reason people stay with Candy.

OurDream images are also strong. Its edge is range: realistic and anime styles, and female, male and trans characters. Want many looks? OurDream. Want one character to look the same every time? Candy.

Video

Candy's Live Action feature makes animated clips up to about two minutes. That's long for this category.

OurDream makes short video clips. They cost more coins than images, but the larger monthly coin pool means you can make several a month on Premium without topping up.

Pick Candy for fewer, longer clips. Pick OurDream for more, shorter ones.

Voice

This is Candy's weakest area. Several reviewers say its voice replies sound robotic next to rivals.

OurDream offers 19 voices and includes voice minutes in its coin allowance. If voice matters to you, OurDream has the edge.

Characters and customization

Both sites have a large ready-made library and a builder for your own companion.

• Candy AI: large library, strong builder, Story Mode for guided plots, and memory of details you share.
• OurDream AI: female, male and trans characters in realistic and anime styles, with detailed customization.

OurDream is the better fit if you want a boyfriend or a trans companion, or want to switch between many styles. Candy is the better fit if you want one polished character with a guided story.

Apps and devices

Candy AI is web only. There's no native iOS or Android app. It works in your phone or computer browser.

OurDream is mainly used in the browser too. App-store listings with similar names exist, so check that any app you install is from the real developer.
