CrushOn AI Review (2026): Pricing, Credits and Is It Safe?

Last updated: November 4, 2026

CrushOn AI is an unfiltered character chat site. It has a big library of user-made characters, several AI models to choose from, and a free plan that gets people in the door. It's also known for a credit system that's hard to read and a privacy record that has drawn warnings.

This review covers what CrushOn costs, how credits work, what the free plan really gives you, whether it's safe, and who should pick it. If you've already decided to move on, see our CrushOn AI alternative guide.

CrushOn AI pricing

CrushOn sells memberships that come with a monthly pool of credits. Reported prices as of mid-2026:

PlanMonthly billingYearly billingCredits per month
Free$0–100
Standard$5.99$58.882,000
Premium$14.99$94.886,000
Luxe$39.99$299.9820,000
Elite$89.99$799.9855,000
Imperial$199.99$1,799.98125,000

Yearly billing cuts the cost a lot. Standard works out to about $4.90 a month and Premium about $7.90 a month when paid upfront.

There's also a "Chat Package" add-on, reported at around $39.99 a month (less on yearly billing). It lets you use Pro models without spending credits. For most of those models you need a membership on top.

Older reviews mention a Deluxe plan with unlimited messages for about $49.99. It stopped selling in 2025. If a page still lists it, that page is out of date.

How CrushOn AI credits work

Credits are the part most people get wrong.

  • Basic models are reported as unlimited on every plan and don't use credits.
  • Pro and Ultra models use credits. One exchange on a Pro model costs several credits, not one.
  • Both sides count. Reports say your message and the character's reply both draw from the pool.
  • Regenerating costs more. Rerolling or continuing a reply is reported to cost double.

What that means in practice:

  • Happy with basic models? Even the free plan can go a long way.
  • Want the better models most of the time? 2,000 credits on Standard buys a few hundred Pro messages, not thousands.
  • Heavy daily use on top models? You'll be looking at Luxe or higher, or the Chat Package, and the bill climbs fast.

As with token systems elsewhere, the headline price is the floor. See our Candy AI review for how a similar setup plays out on another site.

Is CrushOn AI free?

Yes, with limits. The free plan gives you:

  • 100 credits a month, which reviewers put at roughly 50 back-and-forth exchanges on credit models
  • Unlimited chat on basic models
  • Short replies, capped at about 225 characters
  • No access to Ultra models
  • Slower replies at busy times, especially evenings

Reports also say free chat history can be deleted after about 7 days of inactivity. Paid plans keep it while you're subscribed.

The free plan is fine for trying characters. It's not a long-term home if you want long, detailed replies. For other no-cost options, see our free AI girlfriend guide.

What CrushOn AI does well

Character choice. There are thousands of community-made characters, and you can build your own with a name, look, personality, scenario and sample dialogue. Private characters are allowed on the free plan.

Model choice. You can pick between several AI models and tune reply style and settings. Few rivals give you this much control.

Unfiltered roleplay. Adults get mature themes without the mid-chat blocks seen on filtered platforms.

Low entry price. At under $5 a month on yearly billing, Standard is one of the cheaper paid plans in the category.

Apps. It runs on the web and has iOS and Android apps.

Where CrushOn AI falls short

Costs are hard to predict. Credits vary by model, both sides of a chat count, and rerolls cost extra. Many users only learn their real cost after a month.

Characters drift. Reviewers say characters start strong but slide toward generic replies after about 100 messages in one session.

Library quality is uneven. Characters are sorted mostly by popularity, which doesn't track quality well. Expect to dig.

Billing complaints. CrushOn's Trustpilot score is low. Common complaints are charges after cancelling, no easy way to downgrade between tiers, and slow support. Charges are reported to appear under a third-party name (subscribestar.com), so check your statement.

No clear refund policy. You can cancel any time and keep access until the period ends, but refunds are limited.

Is CrushOn AI safe?

It's an established site with real payment processing, but its privacy record is the weak spot.

Mozilla warning. In February 2024, Mozilla's *Privacy Not Included* team gave CrushOn its warning label, its worst rating. Mozilla reported dozens of trackers firing on first use and couldn't confirm how data was encrypted. CrushOn's privacy policy allows collection of a wide range of data, including chat content.

Age checks. Reports differ. Some reviewers describe a selfie, ID scan or small paid check before mature content. Others describe a simple 18+ checkbox. Some readers also reported unexpected charges tied to the age check, so read the screen carefully.

What to do if you use it:

  • Use a unique password and an email you don't use elsewhere.
  • Don't share real personal details (full name, address, workplace) in chats.
  • Check how charges appear on your statement after the first payment.
  • Cancel at least a day before renewal if you're testing.
  • Read the current privacy policy. Mozilla's review is from 2024 and things may have changed.

Is CrushOn AI worth it?

Yes, if you want lots of characters, model choice and unfiltered roleplay, and you're happy to manage credits.

Maybe not, if you want a predictable bill, a companion who stays in character over weeks, or a cleaner privacy record.

CrushOn AI vs Caracas Dream

CrushOn gives you a huge crowd of characters. Caracas Dream gives you fewer, fuller people.

CrushOn does more things. It has more characters, more models and native apps. Caracas Dream does one thing on purpose: every companion comes from somewhere, with a city she grew up in, a past and a personality that stays the same. It runs in your browser, so Apple's new 18+ App Store rule doesn't affect it.

Who should choose what

How we reviewed CrushOn AI

We looked at public pricing reports, CrushOn's feature set, Mozilla's *Privacy Not Included* review, and what users say in reviews, Trustpilot and Reddit. We didn't rely on look-alike "review" sites that copy each other. Prices change often, so we recheck this page every month. Caracas Dream is a competitor to CrushOn, and we've tried to be fair about what CrushOn does better.
